FARINET
Joseph-Samuel Farinet (1845-1880) is a smuggler and counterfeiter from the Aosta Valley. He is mainly known in the canton of Valais in Switzerland, where he is considered as a local defender of freedom and an embodiment of resistance to authority, he is sometimes called the "Robin Hood of the Alps. He was allegedly shot by the police. April 7, 1880, his body is discovered at the bottom of the gorges of the Salentse.
